'Lake Hillier' is situated in Western Australia and is located in the middle of Recherche Archipelago. This lake stretches 600 meters in length and 250 meters in width. It may look odd and weird but this lake is one of a kind. It is pink in color even if we take it in a container / tumbler.
About Lake Hillier
Till date - the color of the water has never been faded or changed. The color seems to be permanent one and is a dye created by Dunaliella salina and Halobacteria. This lake was first discovered and mapped in 1802 by Captain Flinder.
The water from the lake is safe for humans and has not yet been proven as fatal. From the Aerial view this lake looks more like a fine pink colored bubble gum but in close up its more of a light pink.
